Best steak in Torrey. The views are phenomenal. Staff friendly and knowledge.
My advice, stop by and take in the wonderful views, then drive up the street and get a real meal at a decent price.
We really enjoyed our meals! I had the Rim Rock chicken (honey, garlic, and herbs). It was very tender and the glaze was delicious. My husband had the mole turkey which was also tender and the mole sauce was really good. Both of our portions of meat were large, and coming with a salad (loved the blackberry dressing) and a side makes the pricing reasonable. Kids meals are very reasonable as well at $5.99. We were impressed that they served a foot long kids corn dog instead of the standard cheap corn dog.
A tourist-trap of the worst kind. Expensive and poor craftsmanship. The menu are not corresponding with the served, and the staff are arrogant and indeed not service-minded at all. They will charge you for 18% in tips without your approval, and refuse to return. Very few steps away the pizza-restaurant will serve you better food, better service and better prices. Pick your choise wisely . . .
The food was delicious, I ordered a sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Truly one of the best steaks I've ever had. Unfortunately they did not have steak on the kids menu, so my two kids split an adult meal, as it is rather pricey. Great views of the mountains, and I loved the hummingbird feeder hanging just outside the window, which attracted 4 hummingbirds at a time! Great service, as well; one waiter refilled our water glasses so frequently, we never had to ask for more.
Unfortunately the only thing this place has going for it was the view. If you want good food there are great places in town for much less money. The steak was dry and they didn't have any kind of sauce. Finally after asking 3 times for a sauce option I was able to acquire some ketchup for my steak. For a $30 meal I would have expected somewhat better service and options. The wait staff was friendly but unhelpful. I assume this place is in business because it's a tourist trap of sorts.
Beautiful views and my kids loved watching the humming birds while eating.
