We had a very strange experience at this Red Cliff Burger & Pizza Place. This was our third time coming back to this establishment and the attitude of the owners and staff left us bewildered. We ordered about $50 worth of pizza yes $50 worth of pizza for just two pizzas. There was a mix-up at check out when the cashier asked us twice if we "were dining in or taking with us". Both times I told her we were dining in. At that time she proceeded to charge us which wasn't a big deal. It had a place to tip then but we always tip at the end of service which was always our intent. We have always been good tippers with a minimum of 20%. About 20 minutes later the pizzas come out in boxes and we asked the waitress if we could get silverware and plates and her reply to us was " sorry we only provide plates and utensils for customers that tip" this was said with a bit of a snarky attitude which caught us off guard as we were planning on tipping the whole time. After arguing with one of the owners they finally relinquished the plates and utensils for us to properly eat our pizza. We just thought it was a little strange! I'm sure they get people all the time that don't properly tip if at all, but that doesn't mean all of us or that way. The food was good. Not sure if we'll ever come back again after this unprofessional and weird experience!
Great service great food great price. We went in on a free weekend for Capitol Reef and they were unexpectedly busy from it with only two servers. Despite that we were seated quickly, service was fast and accurate, and the food was very delicous. After a cold day of hiking this should be your stop.
The food was great! There was no sign explaining if we seat yourself or not. Rating would have been a five but we were neglected, they gave us eye contact several time but did not great us. When I finally asked for help it was okay but she forgot our drink, when our food came we had to ask for it. We also had to wait for our bill. But I really loved the price and friendly atmosphere!!
Ordered burgers with fries, and "one trip to the salad bar." Sizes were satisfying after a full day of hiking in Capital Reef. Salad bar ingredients were fresh and tasty. Both regular and sweet potato fries were EXCELLENT. Only grip is that they didn't cook burgers to our specific liking (bit well done). Very simply decor but totally didn't matter since the food was so good. They also sell pizzas (looked amazing from what we saw on other tables) and they have an ice cream bar (if you're not too full).
Have eaten here 30+ times. Owner super nice. Food great. Be patient if the entire restaurant is full. Sometimes, everyone arrives at one time and it's impossible to plan for that type of burst in activity. Very good prices. Very nice employees.
