We eat here every time we drive through. We think about eating here when we are out backpacking and eating freeze-dried food. Just classic burgers, fries and shakes.
Great burgers. Would put this place up against the best hamburgers in a major city. Hard to believe it's in such a small town. Excellent service too.
My boyfriend and I arrived at Slacker's about 3:45. We were immediately greeted and asked to approach the window when we were ready to order. We ordered and we're eating within ten minutes.

Both of our burgers and fries were greatly enjoyed. You could tell the toppings- onion, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles were fresh! One of the best burgers I've ever had. Seriously!

Holy smokes this place is amazing. The outlaw burger is off the charts it's so good.
8/19 - I'm lowering to 4 stars. The outlaw is still the best burger ever, and I tried the Blu cheese burger, and it was pretty good. But then I tried the desserts and was sadly disappointed. The food is great, but the desserts maybe not so much
It's a walk up window 1950's style diner. With the option to eat inside or outside on their cemented patio.
Fry sauce was spot on too! If we're ever back in Torrey we will definitely stop by again.
I have eaten here twice and find this place to be a great stop after some long hikes. The burgers are not only good but they also have a great shake selection. Both times I have eaten here the staff was very nice.
