Mushroom lasagna is excellent, 12 vegetable salad is delicious. Breakfast is interesting, I've never had broccoli in an omelet before, but it works. Service is on the slow side.
The food was good but the service was extremely slow and not very good. I was assured that they were having an off day by my fiance who had been there before. I would definitely give it another chance.
We ended up here quite by chance. However, the stay was fabulous.
The rooms are rustic , but large and clean...don't let the older outside fool you...very nice and very affordable. But the highlight was the restaurant. We had dinner one night and breakfast the next morning and the food was out of this world (in a very positive sense). The young lady servers only added to the positive experience. 5 of us dined together, all had different entrees, and all raved about the food.... Quite a pleasant surprise.
We showed up for lunch on a snowy Monday and the service and food were underwhelming. I ordered the ribs, and the sauce was a goopy sweet mess. I ate it because I was hungry, but regretted doing so. My husband's steak sandwich consisted of tiny bits of meat on a white bun, which he says, "at best could be described as somewhere between bland and uninspired." He left most of it untouched. Quite the disappointment. The french fries were the only highlight, they were tasty. It must have been an off day.
I came to this location to eat with my family about a month ago. We did not get to eat because our food never came out. It took a long time to take our order (20 mins) and it took so long to get our food that we simply left. (45 mins after order was placed). In addition, the staff did not seem very pleasant. I hear others have enjoyed this place but, we likely won't return. Please balance my review out with the positive review before making a decision to visit. One review good or bad is just one experience and my review may or may not reflect the businesses normal practice.
